Shattered Glass & The Pool Party
I was sitting at my little bright yellow kitchen table with my mom and my aunt a few months ago, and noticed it was getting windy outside. Our umbrella that sits nestled in the hole of our patio table was swaying and I said,
“I think the umbrella’s going to fly away.”
BOOM. Our glass patio table shatters thanks to the swaying of the umbrella. Cool.
I don’t think I need to explain how fun it was picking up shards of glass around the pool.
So, my husband Kyle and I have had a folding table with chairs that are old and rickety sitting out back for a while. I hated it. Welcome to first world problems. I know.
Well, a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine said they wanted to do a pool party at our house with our group of friends. ABSOLUTELY! I only love this stuff.
I went home and thought, oh God, the table shattered, these chairs are rickety, we actually don’t have a lot of seating… Oh well, I love these people, it'll be fun no matter what.
On my downtime I would just check out patio furniture on different websites, but the sets seemed a little out of our price range for the moment. It was bothering me, but I also felt I needed to wait it out for some reason. I don’t really know why. The party was coming up, it’s almost summer, I was sick of not enjoying our beautiful yard because the furniture was falling apart.
Well, as you know, I’m kind of a master manifester, and I’m trying to show all of you that it’s actually in ALL of us.
You just have to know how to do it.
WELL WOULDN’T YOU KNOW!
The other day I got a text from my aunt sending me photos of beautiful patio furniture that she’s getting rid of, and she asked if I wanted it.
Are you kidding me?
Not if I wanted to buy it, just if I wanted it.
I immediately jumped on it and said "Absolutely!!"
Then she mentioned picking it up. Well, the patio furniture is pretty big, and I don’t think Teegs (my Tiguan) could handle all of that, nor did I want to make 17 trips to pick up one piece at a time.
Welp, my universe was like, hold on, watch this.
Not only did we get this beautiful patio furniture for free that would have cost thousands of dollars, but we also got it delivered! Delivery cost us about $200, but I will happily pay that for free furniture!
So, we have the patio furniture delivered, but we still don’t have a table and chairs that I like.
Thanks to the universe, of course my husband gets an email that says Wayfair was having a 50% off sale on all outdoor patio furniture.
We hopped on, found an adorable patio table and chair set in our comfortable price range, purchased it, and it all came before the party!
Needless to say, after a few months of being unhappy about the state of our backyard that I used to enjoy before things got damaged, being asked to have a pool party kicked my energy into high gear to get our yard back to a happy place for us.
Because I couldn’t energetically get behind having people in our home to enjoy a nice pool day when I couldn’t even enjoy it myself, the universe felt that that was my minimum and it had to go up. There was no other way - it was already declared we needed to move up from this.
The only way I knew I could have people in my home was for it to feel better - for me.
So, the universe allowed me to hold the thought of a beautiful, zen yard with lots of seating and open space, and it did the work for me. And boy, did it deliver. For only $200 I might add 😂

When people are working on their manifesting skills, they get hung up on the “how” of it happening.
Well, here’s the good and bad news.

To me, that’s great news because it takes the pressure off of me to find the resources, and it’s actually amazing to see how the universe delivers.
In desiring the new patio furniture, was I hoping or envisioning my aunt selling one of her furnished condos in hopes that she would ask if we wanted the patio furniture?
Um, no… believe it or not, that didn’t cross my mind.
BUT! The hard part is that most of us are control freaks and want to know who, what, where, when, why, HOW (hello, my name is Aly) and letting go of that and having faith that it’s coming is DIFFICULT.
AND that’s what I want you to work on! Yay!
PUT IT IN YOUR UNIVERSE:
Pick something you want to show up for you. Literally anything
Give it a time frame that you can energetically get behind. This means picture it coming by a certain time that energetically feels right or important to you (ie. I desired better patio furniture before the pool party - not in 6 months)
Hold the thought and feeling of it being yours by that time and tell the universe you give it full permission to come HOWEVER it needs to - the easiest, most harmonious way it knows how
Have faith it’s coming and be ready to receive!
